Waits-Mast FAQs

Q: Can I find your wines in my local wine shop?

A: Our wines can be found in a small selection of shops and restaurants. See the current list here. Since Waits-Mast Family Cellars has very limited production, our mailing list and website will always offer the biggest selection of our wines.

Q: My state is not listed among the states that you ship to. Why can’t you ship to my state?

A: Following the repeal of prohibition, every state has its own rules, regulations, fees and reporting requirements regarding the sale of alcohol. In order to sell and ship wine to a given state, we must file paperwork and acquire a shipping permit. This amount of work makes it challenging for a small winery to manage the compliance process in order to ship to every state. We periodically add states based on customer demand, so do let us know if you would like to see our wines shipped to your state.

Q: What is your policy on corked wines?

A: On the rare chance that you receive a corked wine, we will be happy to send you a replacement bottle.

Q: Do you have a tasting room?

A: We do not have a public tasting room. For that reason, we pour at a number of events (mainly in California) throughout the year. See our event page or sign up on our mailing list to learn about future events. Depending on availability, we may be able to set up a private tasting appointment.

Q: How did you come up with the name Waits-Mast Family Cellars?

A: It’s a combination of the last names of the proprietors: Jennifer Waits and Brian Mast.
