Situated at 1600 feet elevation, with a commanding south-east facing view of Anderson Valley, Rich Savoy’s vineyard off of Deer Meadows Road above Boonville is meticulously farmed in multiple blocks that are planted in a northwest orientation. In the relatively cool and moderate 2013 vintage, we acquired three different clones of Pinot Noir, 115, 777 and Calera, to make just five barrels.

Our 2013 Deer Meadows Pinot Noir shows exotic Asian spice on the nose with orange peel and earth tones. The palate is brisk with bright cherry and light plum on the mid-palate. Intense red cherry and great acidity punctuate the finish. With such great structure, the wine will unfold after a few hours after being opened; with bottle aging, it will develop even more complexity over time.
