2015 Rosé of Pinot Noir Now Available

Now that the weather is warming up in most parts of the country, it is time for Rosé. We're excited to announce that our 2015 Waits-Mast Rosé of Pinot Noir, Mendocino County is now available.

This is our second Rosé of Pinot Noir produced and is a saignée from the lots of two vineyards in Mendocino County: Nash Mill Vineyard in Andereson Valley and Mariah vineyard in the Mendocino Ridge appellation.

The wine's high extraction of color within a relatively short period of contact with the skins is indicative of the 2015 vintage and small berry size.  Because of the process of making this wine, where we bleed (hence the name saignée) off some of the juice early in the process of cold soak, we only produced about 70 gallons.

The Rosé was aged in stainless steel without malolactic fermentation. The resulting wine is bone dry with crisp acidity and balanced alcohol while offering a roundness to the mid-palate. Flavors and aromas of strawberry and orange blossom unfold into a finish of melon and sweet spice.

Total production was only 27 cases and the wine is priced at $25 per bottle (750ml). This wine will go quickly, so we recommend you put your order in soon.
